Lodging Description: The William’s Grant Inn was built in 1808 by a ship’s captain and owner William Bradford, Jr, grandson of Lieutenant Governor William Bradford. It is decorated in an eclectic mix of antiques, folk and oriental art collected by the owners over 35 years of travel. The floor planking is original as is the woodwork and much of the glass. Notice the half-circle original glass over the door. There is an inviting terraced back yard with a koi pond and sitting areas. The interior has a warm and cozy feel. There are many handmade oriental carpets throughout. The inn offers 5 romantic rooms, 3 having private baths, and a two-bedroom private suite with a separate shared bath. The rooms have different themes, ranging from Victorian, nautical and English Countryside, depending upon your taste. All of the rooms have queen beds, decorative fireplaces, and air conditioning in season. Personal items and robes are available on request. A full gourmet breakfast is served daily complete with fruit, freshly-baked muffins, entrée, and beverages. Try Diane’s strata or Warren’s Belgian waffles. The Inn has a AAA three diamond rating.
